Homeplugs -> PC
tried pairing it up with my D-Link homeplug and it works as well - some users might be interested to know this.
noise interference yet to test that due to time constraint.
Pros:
on par with my router 1Gbps connection
faster than my D-Link 200Mbps homeplugs
near instantaneous pairing up on both plugs inclusive of on/off
plug and play
consistent down/up speed - unlike my old previous Aztech plugs (85Mbps), fluctuates like nobody business and frequent disconnection
smooth playback from NAS (Full HD Video)
Cons:
no gateway page (will prefer to have 1 to config within)
quite hot
**will try to perform more test again on a friday night.
initial thoughts:
Is this a good investment product? Only time will tell. Give it a day or two for me to test its actual stability, speed and what have you got and i will come to a conclusion. As of now i can only say, i love the speed that it is able to obtain with my internet.
for people who have no or little experience in networking and are afraid that the configuration might take forever, rest assured that i got it working straight out of the box without any software installed or configuration done at all. Just plug and play.

throughput speed?
hi, how can i get this kind of result on the maxinfinity, i'm using the same homeplug as yours and using with an asus N56u router . i'm using starhub maxinfinity 200mbps. and when connected to homeplug im getting less than 50mbps download speed.. able to advise on this..?
ReplyDeleteTry slotting your plugs side by side and perform a test. If the speed is still not ideal, it is definitely your home wiring issue.
